Hello franken-friends!
After much thought, I’ve decided to start doing a weekly “Franken-Free Friday”, which is exactly as it sounds. Instead of frankens, I’ll show you some of my favorite polishes (new & old) and other polish related things. Of course frankening is my number one love, and the very reason I started this blog…but with being a new homeowner, and doing lots of renovations on my house, time has been stretched very thin lately. I figured this would be a nice balance in between frankening, and I can still talk about polish! 🙂

So, to kick off FFF, I have some recent mani pics to show you! First up are some Hot Messes! I used my ManGlaze Hot Mess, and while it was quite awesome on its own…I found that it is even hotter layered! I have several (ahem, understatement) sheer colors that are so pretty but go unworn because I can’t stand visible nail lines. And my nails are REALLY stained…who wants to see that?!
Here is 2 coats of Hot Mess with 1 coat of Ruby Kisses Neon Green over it:

And also with Lippmann Rehab…poor Rehab has gone neglected for a loooong time:

If you love the “foily” look…you need this! I’ve worn Hot Mess alone, and also with others over it, like 5 times since I got it not too long ago. That is practically unheard of in my household! HM is one tough cookie though…no chipping or peeling, so it’s perfect when you want something that will last you a while.

Another recent and instant love for me is the Zoya Sparkle collection. There are no words to express how cool and unique these are! My favorite of the bunch, no surprise, was Invanka…the green! This is two coats in artificial light:

And outdoor in partial sun:

The really weird thing about these Zoya Sparkles…they look just as beautiful, if not better, in shade! The tiny flakey glitter really stands out and catches your eye. And the best part? Removal was a breeze! Usually the super glittery colors put up a fight, but this came off very easily with felt & remover.

And my last non-franken for today…Barielle Out-Grey-Geous. In the bottle, I thought it may be a dupe for OPI Brand New Skates…but it’s actually quite different. It has tiny flecks of holo gold in it, and I instantly fell in love with it. I have a small collection of Barielle colors, but I think I need more. This applied very nicely, and held up well against chipping. This is 3 coats:

I hope you enjoyed my “Franken-free Friday”… I look forward to showing you more of my favorite colors next week. I also have a neat green franken coming up, and tomorrow will be doing a giveaway…so check back! 😉
