Juggle-not The Clown

Good morning, all!

Today’s franken was inspired by my silly and lovable sister during a slightly tipsy game of Scattergories. The name made me laugh a lot and I knew I needed to incorporate it into a polish.

I used LA Colors Red Glitter, Sally Hansen Glossy, and Jade Meteorite Showers.

I filled an empty bottle with 2/3 Meteorite Showers, slightly less than 1/3 of Red Glitter, and 5 drops of Glossy.

Definitely fun looking!

The multi color glitter really stands out nice against the reddish pink base, and I couldn’t help but smile every time I looked down at my nails.

Flux Capacitor

Hello, everyone!
I actually made this franken and took pics of it a while ago…and then forgot about it completely. Which is terrible because it was a color I really loved! And I borrowed the name from one of my all time favorite movies, Back to the Future. No matter how many times I see it…it never gets old! And who doesn’t secretly lust after a time traveling DeLorean?

I used NYC Clear, Pure Ice Electric, and fine purple glitter from INM. I poured about half each of clear and Electric into an empty bottle, and added about one tablespoon of INM glitter.

Love glitters! Especially dark, vampy ones!

Lazy Daze

Hi, all!

I’ve got a nice summery orange for you today! I used Pure Luxe Pigment in Mai Tai and Maybelline Sunsplash polish. The Mai Tai pigment is a pretty orange with glitter sparkles in it…another one I love to wear as an eyeshadow, so I figured it would make a cool polish color.

I actually added in about 10 drops of plain orange creme to darken this a touch.

This isn’t an over the top, neon orange…in fact, it leans more towards peach. It was a little on the sheer side, so I did three coats.

Red Light District

Good morning, all!
This cold or whatever it is, is reluctant to go away…so I am still feeling yucky. I have a quick & easy franken for you today, and some U.K pretties lined up for Friday!

For this franken, I used A Perfect 10 After Party, NYC Times Square Tangerine Creme, and an old red L’Oreal creme.

I filled an empty bottle with 1/2 of After Party, slightly less than 1/2 of Times Square Tangerine, and added 20 drops of red.

I love how juicy this one is!

Harry the Caterpillar

Hello everyone!

I’ve got another oddball franken for you today! Not quite as weird as the scrambled eggs (glad to see so many of you liked that..thank you!) but it is definitely a little bit different.

I used Pure Ice Electric, Petites Tahitian Green, A Perfect 10 The One, and a no name mini Bon Bons polish that is blue tiny string glitter.

I filled an empty bottle with 1/4 Electric, 1/4 Tahitian Green, 1/4 The One, and the entire bottle of Bon Bon blue, which was about a 1/4.

This actually covered quite nicely…I did two thin coats and it was totally opaque.

Up close…you can see the stringy glitter is very fine and smooth, but still gives a unique look to the polish.

Scrambled Eggs

Good morning!

Ok, be warned…today’s franken is definitely a weird one, in case you couldn’t tell by the name! My sister actually gave me the idea for this one. A good majority of my frankens end up going home with her whenever she comes over, and last time she visited she said I should make a “scrambled eggs” color…yellow with black glitter, like pepper! So I figured, why not? I like weird colors anyway!

I used Zoya Creamy, an unlabled orange shimmer I found, and fine black glitter from TKB Trading.

I filled an empty bottle with 3/4 of the orange shimmer, added in a teeny bit less and 1/4 of Creamy, and mixed in 2 teaspoons of fine black glitter.

Oh yes…this is weird, for sure. Maybe even hideous looking! I can honestly say I have never seen a polish like this…so at least it’s an original LOL. I actually kinda like it! But again, I like weird things.

Serpentine

Good morning!

For today’s franken, I decided to use one of my pigment samples that I had laying around. It is a brand called Aromaleigh, and I had never tried frankening with their pigments before. This one was almost too pretty to mix with…I’ve worn it a couple times as an eyeshadow and it’s gorgeous!

I used NYC Clear, and Aromaleigh pigment in Arabesque.

I filled an empty bottle 2/3 full of clear, then mixed in 1 teaspoon of Arabesque pigment. This mixed fairly easily with light shaking, so I knew I was off to a good start!

The color reminds me of OPI Creme De Menthe or Chanel Jade…but I don’t think it’s a dead on dupe for either. It is quite pretty, though!

Paper Sparrow

Good morning!
I have a pretty green to show you today….and this is another one I really love and it has become an instant favorite. And it is so easy to make!

I used China Glaze Blue Sparrow and Paper Chasing, both which are very pretty on their own.

I filled an empty bottle with half each of Blue Sparrow and Paper Chasing, and shook well. See…told you it was quick and easy!

This one is truly gorgeous…I love the blue shimmer against the vivid green!

Up close, outdoors in the sun…this is 2 thin coats with no topcoat.

Moonage Daydream

Hello everyone!
Yes, the name of today’s franken was borrowed from a David Bowie song. I love Bowie, and for some reason the colors in this polish made me think of this song!

I used Sinful Daddy’s Girl, Zoya Kotori, and Jade Sparkle Emerald.

I filled an empty bottle with 1/3 of each color, and shook the mix well.

This one took 3 coats to be opaque, but I didn’t mind because it was so pretty!

The White Queen

Good morning, franken-friends!
Today I have an Alice In Wonderland themed polish for you. I have yet to see the new AiW with Johnny Depp, but from what I’ve heard, it is very good. When I was a kid, my sister and I were obsessed with the 80′s version that had Carol Channing playing the White Queen, as well as several other stars playing the characters. My old VHS copy is still tucked away somewhere…I can’t bring myself to get rid of it, even though I haven’t had a VCR for years!

Anyways…back to our franken! I used Milani Honey Coated, and Tinker Pink pigment from Pure Luxe.

I filled an empty bottle almost full of Honey Coated, then added in 1 teaspoon of Tinker Pink pigment, and shook well.

Alright, well not that impressive in the bottle. On my nails, it was a different story.

OMG I love this one! <3 It has a pretty satin-like sheen to it, and an ever-so-subtle blue shimmery flash. Perfect for those days you can't pick a color to wear…this really goes with everything!

I even decided to play around with it the next day and jazz it up a little with a double funky french. I used green glitter and silver glitter nail art pens:
