Happy Halloween!

As promised, I have a ghoulish delight for you all today! I actually made this franken last Halloween, before I got into blogging. It was always a favorite of mine, so I decided to recreate it for you. I must warn you that my nails are in very bad shape right now. Between moving, house renovations and experimenting with a different brand of top coat…well, you’ll see soon enough.

For our Halloween franken, I used Wet ‘N Wild black creme, and Maybelline Express Finish in Sunsparkle.

I added 3/4 Sunsparkle into an empty bottle, then added in 1/3 of the black. A couple ballz, and some shaking produces a gorgeous glowy shade.

The beautiful orange glow doesn’t show up very well in the bottle picture, but once on the nail it really sparks to life!

I have a wonderful franken to share with you all today, courtesy of my friend Hanna from Finland. Not only was Hanna sweet enough to share her pictures and recipe with us, but she also has gorgeous nails and her franken is HOT! So without further ado, here is Hanna’s creation…

“The recipe ended up being take China Glaze Tinsel, pour like 1/5 out, add ChG Calypso Blue, add Essie Bermuda Shorts (purple neon), add some ChG Seduce Me (dark pink creme, you don’t need this if you don’t put too much blue in the beginning like I did) and shake well.”

I’m Back!

Hello everyone!
It’s been a crazy month, and thankfully, settling down some. We are all moved into our new house, and have gotten a head start on some minor renovation projects. My “franken room” is almost done…it turned out to be a bigger undertaking than I originally though. After stripping off maaaaany layers of wallpaper, we decided it was best to have the walls resurfaced so they’d look nice and smooth. The room really does like a lot better, and all that is left to do is paint it. Hopefully I will have time to do that this weekend!
In the meantime, I’ve been playing around with some new frankens. I’ll post those a little later this week, and I also have a guest frankener coming up with a really cool color to show you!

Hi guys!

I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and that I haven’t forgotten you all! I really hope I will be back to blogging/frankening soon!
The house stuff is taking longer than expected…grrrr. We have everything set on our end (and have BEEN ready for almost a month!), and are waiting on some paperwork the sellers need to get together. I will be sooooo glad when this is over! All my franken supplies are sitting in boxes, ready to go. In the meantime, I’ve been pondering what color I want to paint my new franken studio. I was thinking a green, since it is my favorite, but I’m doing green in other rooms in the house. For some reason, I’m also liking teal right now and keep eying that as a possibility.
So what do you guys think? I’d love to hear some decorating ideas!
